Jeremy Gackle

Chair

Mr. Gackle is a managing director at ARC Financial Corp. and leads its oilfield service and energy transition investment teams. Since joining ARC Financial Corp. in 2004, Mr. Gackle’s role has transitioned from analytical support roles to responsibilities ranging from deal origination and structuring to due diligence, execution, strategic development and investment monitoring. Mr. Gackle serves on the boards of various private energy service and manufacturing companies as well as KidSport Society of Calgary. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary, is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder, and is a certified director from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Lauchlan Currie

Director

Lauchlan Currie is co-chair and director of ARC Financial Corp., where he provides leadership and strategic oversight, including investing strategy and investment decision-making process. He currently represents ARC on the board of Citadel Drilling Ltd.

Lauchlan joined ARC in 1995. A geologist by training, he has more than 30 years of investment experience in the Canadian energy industry. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Calgary. He is also a registered Professional Geologist in Alberta.

Jacqueline Forrest

Director

Ms. Forrest is the Executive Director of the ARC Energy Research Institute and is responsible for ARC Financial Corp.’s strategic investment research. She supports ARC’s advancement of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) analysis and implementation and regularly shares insights with ARC portfolio companies and investors. Ms. Forrest is a director of ARC Financial Corp. and member of ARC Financial Corp.'s Executive and Investment Committees.

Ms. Forrest joined ARC in 2014 and is a 25+ year veteran of the energy industry. She is a sought-after public speaker and author and is frequently quoted in the press. Prior to joining ARC, she was the leader of North American crude oil research for IHS CERA. Ms. Forrest has a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, and is a Professional Engineer.

Steve Glanville

Director

Mr. Glanville has served as STEP’s president and CEO since October 2022. A co-founder of STEP, he previously held the role of COO from the company’s inception in March 2011 before being appointed president in July 2021. Mr. Glanville is a certified engineering technologist with 30 years of oilfield experience and a strong background in operations and management. His career includes 10 years with SLB, formerly Schlumberger, in its North American oilfield services divisions, seven years with Sanjel Energy Services managing the Canadian coiled tubing and nitrogen business unit, and two years with Calfrac Well Services Ltd. as manager of their Canadian coiled tubing division. Mr. Glanville has contributed significantly to industry organizations. He is a former board member of the Enserva Association (formerly the Petroleum Services Association of Canada) and a past director of Enserva’s Stars and Spurs Gala supporting STARS Air Ambulance. Additionally, he served as president of the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association, Canadian Chapter (ICoTA). Mr. Glanville earned his diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Mr. Glanville is a holder of the Institute of Corporate Directors Director designation.

Michael Kelly

Director

Mr. Kelly is a business leader with over 30 years of experience working with growth-oriented businesses in Canadian and international markets. Mr. Kelly held various executive roles for Trican Well Service Ltd. from 1997 to 2013. During that time, he helped the company grow from a regional Canadian service company to a global presence, with operations spanning North America, MENA, Australia, Russia and Kazakhstan. Mr. Kelly previously held the role of director at STEP from March 2014 until October 2018, and Chief Financial Officer from November 2018 until November 2021. Mr. Kelly is currently a director and audit committee chair for ATB Financial, and chairs the boards of Habitat Life Science, Enersoft Inc. and Ayrton Energy and is a member of the Board of Interra Energy Services. He has extensive board experience in the private and public sectors, in industries that include oil field services, agtech, cannabis and hydrogen transportation and digital technology. Mr. Kelly is an experienced finance professional who was an active CPA for 25 years and a certified director with an ICD.D designation.

Carl Levitt

Director

Mr. Levitt is a senior vice-president on the investment team at ARC Financial Corp. where he focuses on the origination, structuring and execution of new investment opportunities. He also represents ARC on the board of Sirius Instrumentation and Controls Inc.

Mr. Levitt joined ARC in 2018. He previously worked in the artificial lift sector with leading multinational service companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University, a Master of Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business. He is a Professional Engineer in Alberta and a CFA charterholder.

Rachel Moore

Director

Ms. Moore has served as executive vice president, corporate services of Ovintiv Inc. ("Ovintiv") since January 2020, responsible for managing human resources, information technology, communications, sustainability, and administrative services. She previously served as Ovintiv’s vice president, human resources, since January 2015. Prior to joining Ovintiv, Ms. Moore held a variety of senior leadership positions including executive vice president, human resources, Savanna Energy Services Corporation, and vice president, human resources, Enerflex Systems Ltd. With two decades of experience in corporate services across various industries, she developed and implemented successful strategies in total compensation, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, systems implementations, change management, communications, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ms. Moore currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wilder Institute (Calgary Zoo) in support of wildlife conservation. She previously chaired the board for the United Way of Calgary and Area and served on their human resources, strategic planning and governance committee. Ms. Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary.

Jim Hand

Director

Mr. Hand has been president and chief executive officer of Kingston Midstream since 2018. He previously held executive roles in Canada with Laricina Energy as COO, ConocoPhillips as vice-president Surmont 2 Project and vice-president, operations, and with Repsol as vice-president, Canada business. He also served as an independent director of Sanjel Energy Services. Before working in Canada, Mr. Hand held numerous engineering, development, operations, and management roles with ConocoPhillips in Arctic Alaska, the North Sea, the Persian Gulf, the deep water Gulf of Mexico, and the U.S. mid-continent.

Mr. Hand has served on the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers’ oil sands and conventional executive policy groups. He previously served on several local and global committees of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Hand holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University, is a registered Professional Engineer in Alaska and Alberta and holds his Independent Corporate Director designation in Canada.
